Auditions for Into the Woods will be held in 2 parts.
1. Vocal Audition Self-Tape:
Please record and submit 32 bars (1 Minute to 1.5 Minutes) of a Sondheim song using a karaoke track or with an accompanist. You CAN use music from "Into the Woods" but I encourage you to look at the whole of Sondheim's vast library of work.

2. In-Person Acting Audition
All auditioners will attend an in-person audition at From Stage to Screen Acting Studio on September 10th from 1:30 PM - 4 PM. Audition sides are available HERE if you would like to prepare.
Please Note: Auditions are to determine roles. Everyone that registers is guaranteed a spot in the show. Some characters may be double cast, and some actors may be cast as multiple characters.
An intellectual and pleasant story-teller who tells the story to the audience. Separate from the characters in the play, they think they are very important.
Vocal range:G2 - E4
A young, earnest maiden who is constantly mistreated by her stepmother and stepsisters. Knows she doesn't want the life she has but doesn't know what she truly wants.
Vocal range: G3 - G5
Adventurous, naive, energetic, and bright-eyed. On the cusp of adulthood but emotionally and intellectually immature.
Vocal range: B2 - G4
Jack's protective mother who is independent, bold, and strong-willed. Loves Jack, but is constantly fed up with their childishness.
Vocal range: Bb3 - Gb5
A harried and insecure baker who is simple and loving, yet protective of his family. He wants his wife to be happy and is willing to do anything to ensure her happiness but refuses to let others fight his battles.
Vocal range: Ab2 - G4
The Baker's Wife
Determined and bright woman who wishes to be a mother. She leads a simple, yet satisfying life but is constantly curious about the other possibilities that may or may not be available to her..
Vocal range: F3 - G5
Puts her daughters and her prestige above everything else. Treats Cinderella horribly.
Vocal range: A3 - F#5
Florinda And Lucinda
Cinderella's stepsisters who are black of heart. They follow in their mother's footsteps of abusing Cinderella. Silly and vain.
Vocal range: C4 - Ab5
Little Red Ridinghood
A spoiled young girl who is strong-willed, quick-witted, and fearless, yet youthful and naive.
Vocal range top: Bb3 - F5
Sarcastic, ugly-then-gorgeous, obsessive protector of Rapunzel who is straightforward and aggressive.
Vocal range: F3 - G5
Deceased with her soul guarding and aiding her daughter from a tree. Loving and no-nonsense.
Vocal range: E4 - F4
A mischievous vagrant and nosy meddler. He is a good-natured protector and observer. Very focused on the Baker getting his wish.
Vocal range: G2 - Eb4
Hungry and insatiable hunter who takes advantage of the weak by misleading and captivating his prey.
Vocal range: Bb2 - Gb4
A young woman who is sheltered by the Witch and terribly lonely. She yearns to experience the world.
Vocal range: B3 - A5
Vain and gorgeous, he is a disloyal lover who is currently searching for the next new, exciting thing.
Vocal range: B2 - F4
Just as vain and gorgeous as his Prince brother, he is always chasing the newest, most exciting endeavor.
Vocal range top: C#3 - E4
Voiceover. The Giant's wife is an angry and vengeful 'monster.' She is seeking restitution for her loss.
Very unhappy with his life, goes along with his new wife and ignores Cinderella because it is easier.
Tough, angry, vengeful. Teaches her granddaughter to be strong and stand up to any challenge.
Loyal, stuck-up, self-important civil servant.
Sleeping Beauty and Snow White
Just woke up by some prince dude, don't really know what they are doing here.
