We are asking that you bring 16 bars with sheet music in the style of the
show. I have made some suggestions for good songs for specific
characters. The sheet music I have access to will be posted in the coming
days.

You can hear clips from all the songs in the show Here.

Sara: Live Out Loud from A Little Princess, Be a Friend from 13, Some
Things are Meant to Be from Little Women - Sara has to belt but also use a
soprano or light mix. Bring 16 bars that show both or two 16 bar cuts that
show each individually is advised, but you are not guaranteed to sing both.

Aljana: Coming Together from Wearing Someone Else's Clothes by Jason
Robert Brown, specifically the second solo section. - Aljana has to mix very
high. Although her music can be done in the soprano style used by Nikki
Renee Daniels in the recording we are looking for a stronger, more
grounded sound for Aljana. This means bringing in a song that shows you
have a strong full mix up to at least an F if not higher.

Becky: Pick a song that shows off your range, it doesn't have to be too
high as Becky only gets up to a C, but she has to do so with power.

Captain Crewe: Take a Chance on Me (the middle) from Little Women,
Set Sail from [sorta] love songs, Fortune Favors the Brave from Aida -
Crewe is baritone, with an easy tenor top, able to quickly leap up to and
belt Gs. He also has a patter section so a song that includes a little quick
word play is a plus.

Ermengarde, Lottie, and Other Girls: Find a song that shows range. A
variety of styles works because the girls are of all different temperaments.
Show your range and pick something that sounds good in your voice.

Lavinia: Cuties from Hairspray - focus on Lavina's mean, nasty character,
but make sure you pick a song with some range in it, as Lavina has a lot of
singing to do.

Miss Amelia: Amelia's song is a nice, light soprano, so pick something that
shows that off.

Miss Minchin: I Hate Musicals from Ruthless - Find a big brassy song that
you can act the crud out of. A little bit of comedy is nice if possible.

Pasko: Endless Night from The Lion King, Take a Chance on Me (the end)
from Little Women - Pasco is a high tenor. Light enough to move his sound
around but able to belt when called for. Pick a song that shows off your
range and flexibility.

Queen Victoria: Climb Every Mountain from Sound of Music - High
soprano with a put on stuffiness. Pick a show that shows range and which
you can play comically pompous.
